About Streamrly

Everything about how this platform is run, in one place: who we are, how we use artificial intelligence, and the policies that govern the service.

About Us

Who we are, what Streamrly is for, and the standard we hold ourselves to.

Our Mission

Streamrly is the platform everyone asked for, but nobody was brave enough to build.

Could it be possible to build somewhere that protects freedom of expression while labelling clickbait, checking facts and keeping out spam and hate? Somewhere creators are properly paid, advertisers are treated fairly and broadcasters feel at home, and that is simply enjoyable for everyone who uses it?

Yes. Yes, it was.

So why has it taken decades for a true challenger to the “Big Tech” model to arrive?

Because making something good takes time, as every creator knows. So we took it. We worked with experts in online safety, so people are protected from the moment they arrive; in banking and finance, so people who make great content are properly rewarded; and in design, so choosing Streamrly is one of the best decisions you’ll make.

Hello from Streamrly. Goodbye from Unsocial Media.

Streamrly began life as an idea all the way back in 2022. At its core, that idea was simple:
"What if a social media platform actually worked with its users in mind?"
Of course, this comes scarily close to the corporate moniker thrown around a lot these days 'for the people, by the people'. But rather than corporate jargon. What if it really were something far better than what social media turned out to be? Something much more... special?

What We Are Building

We are building a brand new social media platform from the ground up. And, we're doing it whilst addressing every Elephant in the room along the way, too. No. It is not normal for North American Big Tech to control the narrative around what is seen and heard by the people on its platforms. No. It is not right for major institutions to use their undue influence over people in the name of corporate greed. And again, No. It is not right to collect, store and essentially harvest data from the un or non-consenting end-user(s) of a website, all in the name of the great AI Algorithm in the sky. We wanted to be different. So we built it differently.

How We Are Funded

So everything we just said sounds all well and good on paper. But, just how are we funded then in order to do all this? Well, you've probably watched TV before and like all commercial broadcasters. We use advertising to fund the website, its maintenance and the development of better features and functions as time goes by. But, here's what makes us different from all the others out there already. We have 100% autonomy of our company. No investors. No venture capitalists. No corporate greed. Just you, us and the website. And, that's how we want to keep it.

And this means you're going to succeed... why exactly?

Well imagine, you're a pre-existing social media platform in our industry. You have a big team. Nay, huge team! We've trimmed all of that down to a very small, but very efficient localised team. All of which, are here not just to disrupt the current balance of things. But to most of all, do it the way it should have been done all along.

Our Standards

Who We Are

We at Streamrly are a small team of people, trying to take on the biggest problems made by social media platforms. By creating effective remuneration systems, advertisement tools, moderation management and ultimately - an actually enjoyable end user experience, something which many platforms out there are substantially missing from their own websites for a veritable amount of inexcusable reasons. If you want to know more you're always welcome to Contact Us through, you guessed it, our Contact Us page.

AI and Ethical Policy

How artificial intelligence is used on this platform, what it is never used for, and how we disclose it.

So full disclosure - AI is used for Searching, Moderation and Creator Tools on this platform.

However, in the case of moderation, it isn't there to control freedom of expression or freedom of speech. The traditional hard-coded, old-fashioned "key-word" based moderation system still exists, where depending on the local laws of where you're watching, language is filtered accordingly for different age-ranges and respective appropriateness. But you can still say what you want, if anything, probably more so than the pre-existing social media platforms out there.

We know that Creators are "occasionally" demonetised for saying words that are perceived as "un-advertiser friendly" when those very same advertisers have no problem advertising before an 18+ movie in the Cinema or on linear TV. Pretending that language is somehow a barrier to a platform's effectiveness is a lie.

Just as the disproving of "Fake News" or "Misinformation". Where original videos of a dangerous act are allowed to remain on a platform, yet when someone tries to dispel the misinformation, they themselves are demonetised for doing so. We want to demonstrate that AI can be balanced and when developed and implemented correctly, it can be actually useful to the end user.

For the Creator Tools, we hope these will be useful to you as in time we will be rolling out a fully fledged editing suite for Creators to use on site and in app. But they will of course always be entirely optional. If you have a preference of a certain Editing Software or Exporting Tool, use that instead. We are simply happy to be your platform of choice for your content hosting needs.

Finally for Search Results and Recommendations, again the traditional "what you search is what you get" type of results still exist. But we are also working on a far more effective AI search experience that won't just recommend you the same old videos you've seen before, or swiped away before you didn't want to watch them, but the platform doesn't listen because "platform knows best after all". We want you to have the best experience when using the service, so we hope you actually enjoy the functions we've built with you in mind!

Where We Use AI

Where We Do Not Use AI

Disclosure of AI-generated Content

All Creators are required to disclose if content is AI-Generated or AI-Assisted during the uploading process. The Community and our own AI Moderation Team/Tools have the right to flag and remove content that does not accurately disclose its origin when requested. If found to be in violation of our policy on this, we won't just remove or demonetise content, we will actively suspend or terminate accounts as well as seek legal retribution if found damaging or liable to the platform, its users or the original creator/likeness holder.

Human Reviews and Appeals

If content or a feature is reported to us for human review, a member of our team will look at it and make a decision. If you think a decision is wrong, you can appeal, and someone who wasn't involved in the original decision will review it. You can also use your legal rights at any time; we'll always try to put things right first.

Ethical Commitments

Corporate Policies

The operating policies that govern content, creators, advertising, data and complaints.

Community and Content Standards

All uploads must comply with our content standards, which prohibit illegal content, incitement to violence, targeted harassment, and content that sexualises minors. Age-restricted material must be rated accurately at upload; deliberate misrating is itself a violation.

Creator and Monetisation Policy

Creators retain ownership of what they upload and grant Streamrly the licence needed to host and distribute it on the platform. Monetisation eligibility depends on sustained compliance with content standards. Where earnings are withheld pending review, the creator is told why and by when a decision is expected.

Advertising Policy

Advertising is labelled. Advertisers cannot buy changes to ranking, moderation outcomes or reporting. Certain categories — including gambling, alcohol and financial products — carry additional restrictions and are excluded from content rated for younger audiences.

Data protection and privacy

We collect the data needed to operate the service: account details, viewing history where you have enabled it, and technical data required for playback and security. You can request a copy of your data or request deletion of your account from your account settings. Retention periods are stated there rather than left implicit.

Reporting and take-downs

Anyone can report content, whether or not they hold an account. Rights holders can file a take-down request, and creators can counter-notify where they believe a claim is mistaken. Content relating to terrorism can be reported to the relevant national authority directly, in addition to reporting it to us.

Complaints and escalation

If a report or appeal has not been handled properly, it can be escalated for review through the Contact Us page. Escalations are reviewed by someone not involved in the original decision.

These policies are maintained by AELLTECH and updated as the platform develops. Material changes will be announced on the platform before they take effect.
